Três/Three

Nico left this CD recorded between the months of April and June of 2000. The "três/three" CD is the result of many concerts and productions between the musicians: Nico Assumpção(bass), Nelson Faria (guitar), and Lincoln Cheib(drums).

The idea of an album came about after a show at the Casa de Cultura Estácio de Sá , in Rio de Janeiro, which happened in the beginning of 2000.

High Life

This album is considered classic when it comes to Brazilian instrumental music and a reference point in the career of these 5 fantastic musicians who came together to record this project. Released in LP in 1985, and then re-released abroad under the name " Rio Highlife" by Steve Slagle( saxophone player).

Nico Assumpção

Released in 1981 and considered a "bass player" album. Playing the upright acoustic bass like a true master, he pushed the limits as a unique virtuoso. With a sophisticated style, Nico proved he was ready to stand out in the national and international music scene. Many of the musicians who played in this album, who were already big at the time, became even bigger references in the instrumental music scene happening in Brazil.

Tocando Victor Assis Brasil

On the 30th and 31st of March of 2001 and on April 1st of the same year, Nico Assumpção(bass), Luiz Avellar(piano), and Kiko Freitas(drums), played at Mistura Fina club in Rio de Janeiro.

It was a great tribute to music, to Vitor Assis Brasil.

Nelson Faria

Nelson Faria was one of Nico's musical partners. They recorded many albums together through the years. In this CD, released after Nico passed away, a gift: "Maxixe", a song never
before released, interpreted by André Neiva. The fans of Nico must listen to this album. Not only because of "Maxixe" but also because of the other songs that highlight the great musical taste of Nelson's choices and the presence of guests like Toninho Horta, Paulo Moura, José Namen, and many others.

Ricardo Silveira Luiz Avellar ao Vivo - Tocam Milton Nascimento

Two of Nico's great partners since the eighties reunite to play Milton Nascimento. An Excellent and mature project with great arrangements. Includes the song "Cor de Rosa". The CD was recorded live at the Leblon theatre in Rio de Janeiro on the 8th and 9th of January 2002, with Robertinho Silva on percussion.
